With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, the HISER project named ODTÜ TEKNOKENT Information and Telecommunication Cluster Increasing the Competitiveness of T.ICT companies, was initiated in early 2018 with the aim of  needs analysis, learning and establishing new export connections and developing existing markets collectively.

In the first phase of the project, a trade delegation was organized in England line with the requests of the companies involved in the project and the cluster management in England, which is one of the target markets in the road map that emerged as a result of the needs analysis.

In addition to B2B meetings in the trade delegation, which was held in cooperation with the EEN London partner and attended by 18 people from 10 project beneficiaries, the participants were provided with information about the market size, market entry, company establishment, tax and visa options in UK and Turkish company founders residing in UK were included in the program in order to create an opinion on enlargement issues and experiences were shared.

13 people from 10 different companies participated in the trade delegation organized in cooperation with TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council). Participants had the opportunity to have bilateral meetings by seeing the latest technology products and leading companies in the Computex Fair which is one of the world’s largest hardware and informatics fairs.

ODTÜ TEKNOKENT Information and Telecommunication Cluster – T.ICT has been actively organizing events since 2015, promoting its companies and the cluster local and global markets, and contributing to the national economy on a large scale. In this context, a trade delegation was organized in the Las Vegas region in line with the requests of the companies included in T.ICT and the cluster management.

Bilateral meetings were organized within the scope of the EEN B2Matchmaking Event and the CES Fair at the Las Vegas Trade Delegation and 11 people from 7 different companies participated in the bilateral meetings

Game Developer Conference

TOGED and T.ICT Cluster participated in the “GDC Game Developer Conference 2017” event which is the world’s largest developer conference held in the USA / San Francisco region between 27 February – 3 March 2017, with 21 people from 12 companies.

The first event of the series was started with Başarsoft. After the presentation on “Integrated Map Solutions in Information Technologies”, it was accompanied by a cocktail that enabled participating companies to meet and share cooperation opportunities.

Industrial Internet of Things Seminar was held on October 6, 2016 with the participation of Uygar Doyuran, General Manager of “GE Digital” and Ussal Şahbaz, Leader of “GE Turkey Innovation”.

In the seminar, Turkey’s position in the industrial world, the possible alliances with GE’s digital transformation and the impact of digitalization in the industry are discussed and possible collaborations were evaluated.

Gamescom Trade Delegation

Gamescom, Europe’s largest game fair, where many game developer companies attend and share developments in the game industry, hosted 345,000 visitors from ninety 97 countries this year. This year, Turkey participated in the fair with the initiatives of ODTÜ TEKNOKENT and with TOGED and support of Turkey Exporters Assembly, Electrical, Electronics and Services Exporters’ Association, Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Investment Support & Promotion Agency, and Ankara Development Agency.

20 companies and more than 10 developers from ODTÜ TEKNOKENT also took part in the fair. Participants had the opportunity to present their projects and teams

to participants from all over the world.
